Terms of Service

Last updated: June 16, 2026

These Terms of Service govern your use of Share Money, an app for creating shared expense groups, recording bills, splitting costs, and tracking balances.

Use of the App

You may use Share Money for personal expense tracking and shared group calculations. You are responsible for the accuracy of information you enter, including names, bills, payment status, notes, and payment details.

Accounts and Sign-In

Some features require an account. You agree to provide accurate account information and to keep your sign-in credentials secure. If you use Facebook Login or another authentication provider, that provider's own terms may also apply.

User Content

You remain responsible for the content you add to Share Money, including group names, member names, expenses, notes, and images. Do not upload or enter unlawful, harmful, misleading, or unauthorized content.

Payments and Balances

Share Money helps calculate and display expense balances. The app does not process payments, hold funds, guarantee settlement, or provide financial, tax, or legal advice.

Availability

We aim to keep Share Money reliable, but the app may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, service provider issues, network problems, or updates.

Limitation of Liability

Share Money is provided as-is. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect losses, disputes between users, incorrect expense entries, or decisions made based on app calculations.

Privacy and Data Deletion

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle user data. Users can request deletion of their data using the instructions at User Data Deletion.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms when the app changes or when legal, security, or operational requirements change. The updated date on this page shows the latest version.
